General Insurance is the term used to describe other types of insurance designed to protect you against the impacts of certain events happening such as a car accident or being burgled.

The following is a list of common general insurance products:

  • Household & Property insurance - Financial protection for physical land and buildings owned by the insured that may be damaged or destroyed by both natural and human causes.
  • Motor insurance - Financial protection for vehicles both private and commercial against traffic accidents that result in damage, theft, or mechanical malfunctions.
  • Travel Insurance - Insurance for business travellers and holiday makers.
  • Payment Protection Insurance - Financial protection from paying off loans, mortgages, and other payables when the insured becomes financially unable to pay for them through no fault of the insured.
  • Extended Warranties - Usually made for vital equipment, products and services that may require replacement or repair outside of the normal manufacturer's warranty.
