Health and protection products are insurance
products that offer protection in the event of a serious
illness and/or injury.
The following is a list of common
health and protection insurance products:
- Life (non-investment
Insurance) - same as regular life insurance without the
added option of investment returns based on interest
earned form the premiums paid or a combination with an
investment fund policy.
- Private Medical Insurance - Financial
protection from costs incurred from private medical institutions,
personnel, and services.
- Accident Insurance - Financial protection
from medical costs incurred from an accident resulting
in a major temporary disability or a minor permanent
disability.
- Critical Illness
Insurance - Specific policy geared towards individuals
suffering from long-term critical illnesses that are
not immediately fatal; like Parkinsons Disease,
- Income Protection
Insurance - A form of insurance policy for employees who
are unable to work due to temporary disability, usually
paying back any lost income from their absence at work.
- Long Term Care Insurance - A policy for
medical conditions that require significantly long time-frame
for recovery except fatal conditions.
- HIV Insurance - Specific policy made specially
for individuals suffering from the effects of the HIV
virus in their system.
